We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service & Operations Administrator to join a busy and established team based in Great Bridge.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering the chance to join the business on a temporary basis before moving into a permanent position for the right person.

The role would suit someone with a strong background in customer service, administration or reception who enjoys being the first point of contact for customers, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

The Role

This is a varied position combining customer service, administration and operational support. You’ll be responsible for looking after customer enquiries and complaints, coordinating deliveries and supporting the wider team with day-to-day administration.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a key point of contact for customers by telephone and email
• Handling customer enquiries, queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Taking ownership of customer issues and seeing them through to resolution
• Providing customers with updates on deliveries, shipments and orders
• Coordinating and supporting delivery schedules
• Liaising with internal departments, couriers and other relevant contacts
• Managing and responding to shared inboxes
• Keeping customer, shipment and proof of delivery records accurate and up to date
• Following up outstanding issues and ensuring customers are kept informed
• Supporting with invoicing and general administration
• Assisting with reception duties and providing support to visitors when required
• Maintaining the training diary and supporting with training administration
• Monitoring relevant customer service and operational KPIs
• Identifying recurring issues and escalating these where appropriate
• Supporting the team with process improvements and finding ways to improve the customer experience
• Assisting with quality-related administration and maintaining accurate documentation
• Supporting the business with its Quality Management System, including controlled documentation and ISO 9001 requirements

About You

We’re looking for someone who is customer-focused, organised and confident dealing with people.

You may already have experience in customer service, customer administration, reception, sales administration, logistics or a similar environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a customer-facing or administrative role
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A professional and friendly telephone manner
• Good attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Confidence dealing with customer queries and resolving problems
• Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems
• A positive, solutions-focused approach
• The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider team

Experience of logistics, deliveries, invoicing, KPIs, ISO 9001 or a Quality Management System would be advantageous, but full experience in all areas isn't essential.

What’s most important is that you have the right attitude, enjoy working with customers and are comfortable taking ownership of your workload.
