A well-established regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Solicitor to lead its Employment team.

This is a genuine opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their career, with responsibility for leading the team, growing the department and managing a varied caseload of employment work.

There is also a clear route to partnership for the right person, with the opportunity to have a real say in the future direction of the department and the wider firm.

The role:

• Leading, mentoring and developing the Employment team
• Managing a varied claimant and respondent caseload
• Handling Employment Tribunal matters from start to finish
• Providing practical and commercially focused advice to a broad client base
• Developing new business through networking and existing client relationships
• Taking responsibility for billing, WIP and departmental performance
• Maintaining strong client relationships and high levels of service
• Playing an active role in the firm's wider leadership and strategy

What the firm is looking for:

• A qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in Employment Law
• Strong experience dealing with Employment Tribunal matters
• Someone who is confident managing their own caseload
• Strong client management and business development skills
• Commercially minded with the confidence to lead a team
• Excellent technical, drafting and communication skills
• Ambition to progress towards partnership
