Facilities Officer

Location: Tonbridge, Kent

Hourly Rate: £15 - £18 per hour

We are recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team based in Sevenoaks. This varied role offers the opportunity to play an important part in the smooth day-to-day running of office facilities while supporting colleagues across multiple locations throughout Kent.

The Role

Working closely with the Senior Facilities Officer, you will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming working environment while providing a range of facilities and administrative support services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the management of the Helpdesk
• Assisting with fleet servicing and repair coordination
• Delivering supplies, furniture, and equipment to offices
• Providing reception cover
• Carrying out general administrative duties, including scanning, copying, and electronic filing
• Undertaking basic office maintenance and housekeeping tasks
• Supporting health and safety inspections and compliance activities
• Occasionally deputising for the Senior Facilities Officer, including opening the office building

About You

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• A positive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to help
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Full UK driving licence
• DIY or basic maintenance experience
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Previous experience in a varied facilities, office support, or maintenance role
• Manual handling experience

Working Hours

37 hours per week

• Monday to Thursday: 8:45am – 5:15pm
• Friday: 8:45am – 4:45pm

Location

Sevenoaks, Kent

Following successful completion of probation, the postholder will be required to act as a keyholder for the office building.
