Take real ownership of accounts assignments across a varied portfolio. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified Business Services Senior.

Edinburgh has a diverse and thriving business community, and the firm's client base reflects that, spanning sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. The team is experienced and well structured, and the firm has a strong Scottish reputation with support to progress to Assistant Manager and beyond. What's the day to day of the role:

• Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assisting managers and partners on more complex assignments and technical matters
• Acting as a reliable point of contact for clients and handling queries confidently
• Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns as required
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified, with a solid accounts preparation background
• At least three years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience preparing accounts for a range of client types to a high standard
• Good working knowledge of accountancy software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• Professional client facing manner, well organised, with the ambition to progress in practice
