A well regarded local practice with a varied workload and a friendly team. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Carlisle is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified Business Services Senior.

You’d own accounts assignments across a mixed portfolio and build both your technical and client skills in a team that invests in its people. Carlisle has a well established local business community, and the firm’s clients reflect the character and variety of the area it serves. Progression to Assistant Manager is actively supported. What’s the day to day of the role:

• Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Helping managers and partners with the more complex, technical assignments
• Handling client queries as a dependable point of contact
• Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns where needed
• Supervising and mentoring the junior members of the team

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified, with a solid accounts preparation background
• At least three years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of client types to a high standard
• Comfortable with accountancy software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• Professional with clients, well organised, and keen to progress in practice
