Salary: Basic salary is £30,000.00 with £10,000.00 bonus

Our client is looking for a proactive and customer- focused Account Manager to join their team and take ownership of an established portfolio of business customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, delivering outstanding customer service and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts. You’ll play a key role in developing customer partnerships, increasing sales and maximising revenue and gross profit through a consultative, solutions-led approach.

The Role

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with an existing customer base, ensuring customers receive a high level of service while identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen each account.

Working closely with internal teams, you’ll help deliver tailored solutions, manage customer orders and quotations, and contribute towards the achievement of individual and team sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and develop strong, long-term relationships with an assigned portfolio of B2B customers.
• Proactively engage with customers via telephone, Microsoft Teams and face-to-face meetings to understand their needs and identify opportunities.
• Prepare accurate, tailored quotations and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Manage customer orders from initial enquiry through to fulfilment, ensuring agreed delivery timescales are met.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through cross-selling and solution-based selling.
• Drive sales revenue and gross profit growth across your customer portfolio.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity and pipeline information using the CRM system.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.
• Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally, escalating more complex issues when required.
• Monitor account performance and contribute to wider team sales objectives.

About You

We’re looking for a confident and organised individual with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for customer relationships. You’ll be commercially minded, proactive in your approach and motivated by developing accounts and delivering results.

To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to manage quotations, orders and customer information accurately.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Desirable experience includes:

• Previous experience in B2B sales, account management or a customer-facing commercial role.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage customer relationships and sales activity.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of sales performance, revenue and gross profit targets.
