About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Hire Controller to join a busy and successful operation based in Avonmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, managing enquiries, coordinating orders, and providing a first-class service from start to finish.

As a Hire Controller, you will be responsible for managing the entire customer journey, from initial enquiry through to post-hire follow-up. You'll build strong relationships with customers, provide solutions to their requirements, and ensure that every interaction reflects a high standard of service.

This position would suit someone with previous experience in customer service, hire control, hire desk, transport coordination, logistics administration, account management, or a similar customer-focused role.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing customer enquiries via telephone, email and online platforms
• Processing and coordinating hire orders efficiently
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Taking ownership of customer requirements from enquiry through to completion
• Providing product and service information to customers
• Identifying opportunities to maximise revenue through upselling and cross-selling
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery
• Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems

About You

• Previous experience within customer service, administration, hire desk, logistics, transport or a similar role
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Proactive, positive and customer-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
