The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering creative, engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils as they continue their transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing effective feedback.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community.
• Delivering high-quality teaching that supports academic achievement and personal development.

What Schools Are Looking For

To be considered, you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Recent experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum and Key Stage 1 expectations.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• The ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A genuine passion for teaching and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Desirable Experience
