The Role

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that challenge, engage and inspire learners.
• Foster a positive classroom culture where pupils feel supported and motivated to achieve their best.
• Prepare pupils for the academic demands of upper Key Stage 2.
• Assess, track and monitor pupil progress, using data to inform planning and intervention.
• Differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities and needs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to maximise pupil outcomes.
• Promote excellent behaviour, attendance and engagement in learning.

Requirements

To be considered for these opportunities, you will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Experience teaching Year 5 or another upper KS2 year group.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to teaching and learning.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
