What You’ll Be Doing as Health & Safety Advisor: * Supporting the implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety policies, procedures and programmes * Carrying out regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and legislation * Assisting with accident, incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions * Supporting the completion and review of operational risk assessments, safe systems of work and COSHH assessments * Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture across the site and engaging employees at all levels * Delivering toolbox talks and assisting with Health & Safety training programmes * Ensuring Health & Safety records, documentation and reporting are maintained accurately * Assisting with contractor management, permit-to-work processes and emergency preparedness activities (including fire safety procedures and drills) * Working closely with managers and employees to identify hazards and implement proactive improvements * Supporting monthly Health & Safety reporting, KPI tracking, internal audits and compliance initiatives What We’re Looking for as Health & Safety Advisor: Essential: * Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing, production, engineering or a similar environment * Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation * NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) Health and Safety qualification, or relevant IOSH qualification * Experience carrying out risk assessments and workplace inspections * Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage employees at all levels * Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications * A proactive approach with a genuine passion for Health & Safety Desirable: * Experience within a manufacturing environment * Experience delivering Health & Safety training or toolbox talks What You’ll Get in Return as Health & Safety Advisor: * Competitive salary (dependent on experience) * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Company pension with 5% employer contribution * Subsidised healthcare and personal accident plan * Uniform provided * Subsidised canteen & on-site parking * Bike to Work Scheme * Employee referral & suggestion schemes * Long service awards & death in service cover Why Join NMB?
