Property Manager - East London - Mon-Fri - £35,000-£40,000

Job Title: Property Manager
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00am-18:00pm

My client, a successful, independent estate agency with multiple branches across East London, is looking for an experienced Property Manager to join their growing team.

Working as part of an established and professional property management department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and delivering an exceptional level of service to both landlords and tenants. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong presence across East London and a reputation for providing a high-quality service.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing day-to-day maintenance, including complex and urgent works, ensuring issues are dealt with competently and efficiently
• Ensuring the portfolio remains fully compliant with all relevant legislation, Health & Safety requirements and regulations
• Advising utility companies of meter readings and managing void-period bills
• Coordinating estimates and arranging repairs with contractors, while liaising effectively between landlords and tenants
• Troubleshooting maintenance and property management issues and providing practical solutions
• Proposing and negotiating deposits between landlords and tenants, including a strong understanding of the rebuttal process
• Maintaining strong, long-term relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous Property Management experience of at least two years
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A confident problem solver who can work effectively under pressure
• Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills
• Excellent administration and IT skills
• The ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with landlords
• A positive, professional and encouraging attitude

Desirable but not essential:

• ARLA qualification
