Graduate Quantity Surveyor - 2027 - Midlands

Our Building Services team provides complete Facilities Management of buildings throughout the UK, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.

Working as part of our Facilities Management (FM) team, across our Midlands healthcare contracts (Royal Derby Hospital, Walsall Manor Hospital and Nottinghamshire Hospitals), we are now looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our 2026 development programme and help us shape the future with purpose and innovation.

What you'll do:

• Help minimise the costs of a project to ensure profitability and risk mitigation
• Build relationships and negotiate with trade contractors and client representatives
• Support the preparation and completion of site measurement and records, day work sheets, labour and plant returns
• Procure trade contract packages, including completing detailed tender analysis and preparation of tender and contract documents
• Assist with the procurement of sub-contract packages
• Work within the projects commercial team and have responsibility in measuring and quantifying works for cost plan validation, completing interim and final account valuations
• Prepare contractual documents including preparing scopes and sub-contract warranties
• Other commercial tasks depending on project needs

What you'll bring to the role:

• Studying towards (in your final year) or having completed a Quantity Surveying degree accredited by the RICS. We will consider applications from other commercially focused or construction qualification backgrounds.
• Have excellent communications skills and attention to detail

• Commercially minded
• Enthusiastic about learning and developing new ways of thinking
• This role requires visits to multiple sites. As such, we would expect you to have a driving licence.
