Intern Quantity Surveyor - 2027 Year in Industry Placement - London

Over your placement, you'll gain hands-on experience and have the support of mentors who care about your growth. You'll develop the technical and interpersonal skills to help you succeed and make a lasting impact.

Working as part of our FM team, working in defence, Healthcare and commercial sectors, we are now looking for an enthusiastic Quantity Surveying student to join us and help us shape the future with purpose and innovation.

What you'll do:

• Help minimise the costs of a project to ensure profitability and risk mitigation
• Build relationships and negotiate with trade contractors and client representatives
• Support the preparation and completion of site measurement and records, day work sheets, labour and plant returns
• Procure trade contract packages, including completing detailed tender analysis and preparation of tender and contract documents
• Assist with the procurement of sub-contract packages
• Work within the projects commercial team and have responsibility in measuring and quantifying works for cost plan validation, completing interim and final account valuations
• Prepare contractual documents including preparing scopes and sub-contract warranties
• Other commercial tasks depending on project needs

What you'll bring to the role:

• Studying towards a Quantity Surveying degree accredited by the RICS.
• Have excellent communications skills and attention to detail
• Values driven and passionate about sustainability
• Commercially minded
• Enthusiastic about learning and developing new ways of thinking
