Conveyancing Assistant
Salary: Up to £28,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established and highly regarded law in Chesterfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous residential conveyancing experience who is looking to join a supportive team where they can continue developing their knowledge and experience.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting Conveyancers with residential sales and purchases from instruction through to completion
• Opening new files and carrying out client onboarding and AML checks
• Drafting contracts and preparing legal documentation
• Ordering searches and reviewing search results
• Preparing mortgage reports and supporting documentation
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and solicitors
• Assisting with enquiries and preparing files for exchange of contracts
• Supporting with exchanges and completions
• Dealing with post-completion matters where required
• Providing general administrative support to the wider Conveyancing team

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant or Conveyancing Paralegal
• A good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
• Experience supporting both sales and purchase transactions
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage a busy workload
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering excellent client service
