Are you an experienced Conveyancing Assistant looking to develop your career within a successful and supportive law firm?

We are recruiting for an established law firm looking to add a Conveyancing Assistant to its busy Residential Property team.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced conveyancing professionals, gaining hands-on exposure to residential property transactions while playing an important role in ensuring matters progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide day-to-day support to fee earners across a varied residential conveyancing caseload.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Opening new files and completing initial client administration
  • Carrying out ID, AML and compliance checks
  • Preparing initial conveyancing documentation
  • Ordering property searches and obtaining relevant information
  • Drafting and issuing contracts
  • Assisting with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, solicitors, lenders and other third parties
  • Dealing with incoming correspondence and enquiries
  • Preparing files for exchange and completion
  • Requesting mortgage funds and preparing completion documentation
  • Assisting with post-completion matters where required
  • Keeping clients updated throughout their transaction
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files
You will ideally have previous experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Paralegal or within a similar residential property position.

You should have a good understanding of the conveyancing process and be comfortable supporting transactions at different stages.

You’ll also need strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate confidently with clients and other professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity to continue developing your career within an established and supportive legal environment.

The role would suit someone who already has residential conveyancing experience and is looking for greater exposure, responsibility and the opportunity to continue progressing within property law.

If you’re a Conveyancing Assistant looking for your next opportunity, we’d be keen to hear from you.
