My client are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager with a strong background in sales, preferably within the construction sector. This role is ideal for someone who is adept at market analysis, identifying new business opportunities, and building robust client relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to drive the Sales & Marketing strategy of the business.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct market analysis to understand trends, opportunities, and identify potential clients.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects through effective lead qualification.
• Develop strong client relationships through a consultative approach, understanding their needs and providing tailored advice on company services.
• Seek out appropriate contacts within organisations to develop new opportunities, as well as upsell and cross-sell.
• Generate and attend face-to-face client meetings, entertaining clients to build rapport and maintain working relationships.
• Stay updated with market trends and identify key areas for growth.
• Utilise advertising strategies to promote the company.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
• Manage and maintain CRM software, ensuring accurate tracking of client interactions and sales progress.
• Collaborate closely with the Managing Director to manage and enhance the Sales & Marketing strategies of the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' sales experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Well-developed skills in listening, relationship building, presenting, and written communications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong research skills with the ability to identify business opportunities.
• Experience in managing sales staff.
• Proficient in using CRM software.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
