Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the purchase ledger function while working closely with stakeholders across the wider business.This is a varied role combining Accounts Payable, supplier management, reconciliations and finance administration responsibilities.Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Managing purchase orders and ensuring compliance with procurement processes
• Maintaining supplier records and supporting new supplier setup
• Preparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
• Resolving invoice and supplier queries
• Calculating and monitoring supplier settlement discounts
• Processing employee expenses and company credit card expenditure
• Supporting fixed asset administration and supplier accruals
• Assisting with VAT schedules and month-end processes
• Producing analysis and reporting for operational departments
• Managing the Accounts Payable inbox and responding to finance queries
• Supporting the wider finance team with administrative and ad hoc duties

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or Finance Administration position
• Strong understanding of invoice processing and supplier management
• Experience completing supplier reconciliations
• Good Excel and finance systems skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Desirable

• SAP experience
• Experience processing payment runs
• Expenses administration experience
• Exposure to month-end processes
• AAT studies or finance qualifications
