Patent Administrator – London

A leading intellectual property firm is looking to appoint a Patent Administrator on a fixed term contract basis. The firm works with a broad range of innovative clients and offers a professional, collaborative environment alongside the opportunity to gain further experience within a specialist IP setting.

The role would suit an experienced Patent Administrator or someone with a strong background in IP administration who is looking for a fixed term opportunity within a well-established team.

The Role

• Managing the administration of UK and international patent portfolios
• Preparing and filing patent applications and associated documentation
• Monitoring deadlines and ensuring actions are completed accurately and on time
• Updating and maintaining internal records and databases
• Liaising with clients, attorneys, patent offices and other external contacts
• Assisting with renewals, formalities and general patent administration
• Providing wider administrative support to the patent team where required

Requirements

• Previous experience within patent administration or a similar IP support role
• Good understanding of patent processes and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Confident communication skills and a professional approach
• Experience working with IP management systems would be advantageous
