I’m currently supporting a well-established specialist care organisation with the recruitment of a Team Leader for a children’s residential service in Lancaster.

We’re particularly keen to speak with experienced senior support workers / team leaders who have a background supporting people with Learning Disabilities, whether that experience has been within children’s services or young adult services.

This could be a great opportunity for someone who wants to use their experience to make a genuine difference while progressing within a well-supported organisation.

The role will involve:

• Monitoring care plans and contributing to reports

• Supporting the management team with day-to-day running of the service

• Building positive, trusting relationships with young people

• Planning activities and supporting positive outcomes

• Providing guidance, encouragement and consistency to the wider team

• Approximately 8 sleep-ins per month

We’re ideally looking for someone with:

Previous experience within children’s residential care, or strong LD experience with young adults

Experience in a senior/support or team-leading capacity

Level 3/4 qualification in Children’s Residential / Children’s Workforce or relevant equivalent

Strong understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support

A genuine passion for supporting people with additional needs

Full manual UK driving licence

What’s on offer?

• £41,346 including sleep-ins

• £500 welcome bonus following successful probation

• £1,000 refer-a-friend scheme

• Enhanced DBS paid for

• Ongoing training and development

• Clear progression opportunities

• A supportive management structure

• A genuinely homely environment where relationships and outcomes matter

If you’re currently working in Learning Disability, children’s residential, supported living or young adult services and are looking for your next step, I’d be really interested in having a confidential conversation.
