Finance Manager

Slough – hybrid, 3 days/week in office | £65,000–£70,000 pro rata | 3–6 month Fixed Term Contract

The role

A great opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a global manufacturing group as Finance Manager, taking end-to-end ownership of financial management and control for the business's US operations. Supporting the US Regional Director and wider leadership team, you'll lead budgeting and forecasting, oversee reporting and compliance, and translate financial data into clear commercial insight that supports decision-making.

This is a hands-on, broad finance role covering everything from day-to-day control to strategic business partnering, with close collaboration between the US operations and UK Head Office.

What you'll do

• Own financial management, control environment and reporting for the US business, including local tax and statutory filings
• Lead all US-based finance activities, from AP/AR through to month-end and year-end close
• Business partner with the Board, Regional Directors and Departments to strengthen reporting and analysis
• Act as key finance liaison between the Americas operation and UK Head Office
• Own monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, annual budget and periodic forecasting
• Manage working capital and liaise with the US holding company on banking and payments
• Lead the US stocktake process and coordinate internal audit activity
• Prepare and file sales tax and other relevant tax returns across applicable states
• Drive business and process improvement across the region

What you'll bring

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Ideally, manufacturing and/or supply chain experience
• Strong IT and data skills (SQL, Access, Excel, Power BI advantageous)
• A proactive, independent approach with a track record of driving process improvement
