Chalk Hill Group are partnering with an international organisation, based in Andover, in their search for an Assistant Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join a renowned business, supporting financial reporting and accounting activities across multiple entities.

Working as part of a wider finance team, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate month-end reporting, maintaining robust financial controls and supporting statutory, tax and audit requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

The Role:

• Support monthly accounting and management reporting across several entities, ensuring deadlines and group reporting requirements are met.
• Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments, maintain fixed asset records and manage monthly depreciation.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and resolve discrepancies.
• Support VAT returns, Intrastat reporting and local statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with interim and year-end audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring documentation is accurate and audit-ready.
• Maintain strong financial controls while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency.

About You:

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA; part-qualified candidates would be advantageous.
• Experience across general ledger accounting, accounts payable and/or accounts receivable, ideally within a multi-entity environment.
• Comfortable using ERP systems, alongside strong Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work to tight deadlines.
• A proactive team player who takes ownership, communicates confidently and enjoys working with colleagues across different countries.
