The Role

• In-House Employment Solicitor 12M FTC (£50K - £60K)

• Leicester | Hybrid Working | 12-Month FTC

As an In-House Employment Solicitor, you'll:

• Manage your own caseload of employment, professional discipline and related matters, with around 65% of the work focused on contentious matters and litigation.

• Advise on complex and sensitive employment issues, providing clear, practical guidance to senior professionals.

• Handle Employment Tribunal proceedings, including drafting pleadings, preparing case documents and representing clients where appropriate.

• Advise on professional conduct, regulatory issues, settlement agreements and employment contracts.

• Work closely with colleagues across the legal team, as well as external solicitors and barristers, to deliver a high standard of advice and representation.

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and help navigate challenging employment disputes.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• A qualification as a Solicitor or equivalent, with at least 2 years' PQE.

• A solid background in employment law, particularly contentious matters and litigation.

• Experience managing your own caseload and handling Employment Tribunal claims.

• The confidence to advise on sensitive, complex and potentially high-value disputes.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain legal issues clearly and practically.

• Experience in professional discipline or regulatory matters would be a bonus.

• Advocacy experience would be welcomed, but it's not essential.

• Salary: £50,000-£60,000.
