Product Owner - Retail Media / AdTech Platform

Location: UK

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner / Product Lead to lead the selection, implementation and rollout of a major Retail Media Orchestration Platform within a large, complex organisation.

This is a high-profile role with responsibility for taking an existing vendor selection process through to completion, defining the MVP and product roadmap, and leading the subsequent implementation and phased rollout of the platform.

The successful candidate will combine strong product leadership with Retail Media / AdTech expertise and experience implementing complex third-party technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the RFP and vendor selection process through evaluation, assessment, negotiation and final recommendation.
• Define the MVP, product roadmap and phased rollout strategy.
• Lead implementation planning with the selected technology partner.
• Work across product, engineering, data and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Manage data, identity, integration and technology dependencies.
• Balance speed to market with longer-term platform capability.
• Own and develop the relationship with the selected technology vendor.
• Establish appropriate governance, SLAs and joint delivery plans.
• Lead the rollout of the platform across a complex, multi-brand environment.
• Manage senior stakeholders and maintain alignment across product, technology and commercial teams.
• Build and lead cross-functional teams to support successful delivery.

Skills and Experience

• Strong experience as a Product Owner, Product Lead, Senior Product Manager or Product Director.
• Excellent Retail Media, AdTech or advertising technology knowledge.
• Experience across areas such as onsite, offsite and in-store media, campaign orchestration, ad serving and measurement.
• Experience leading enterprise technology or platform implementations.
• Experience with RFPs, vendor evaluation, technology selection and commercial negotiations.
• Proven experience taking a platform from selection through MVP and into scaled rollout.
• Experience integrating complex third-party technology platforms.
• Strong understanding of data and integration dependencies.
• Experience building or leading cross-functional product and technology teams.
• Strong commercial awareness, including business cases, TCO and vendor management.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating within large, complex and highly matrixed organisations.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence would be beneficial but is not essential.

This is not a traditional BAU Product Owner position. It is an opportunity to take ownership of a strategically important platform at a pivotal stage, helping select the technology, shape the product capability and take it through implementation and scale.

This would particularly suit a Retail Media / AdTech product leader who enjoys building new capability, managing technology partners and turning product strategy into successful enterprise delivery.
