We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy local housing team on a temporary basis to provide cover for an ongoing absence.

This is a customer-facing role requiring strong tenancy and housing management experience within a social housing environment.

Key Details:

• Location: Morden, SM4
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
• Pay Rate: £21.05 PAYE
• Contract: Temporary until December 2026
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver an effective tenancy and housing management service.
• Conduct estate inspections and ensure any issues are appropriately addressed.
• Manage tenancy-related matters and support residents across a diverse housing portfolio.
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide excellent resident services.
• Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to resolve housing issues.
• Support fire safety and building safety compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure actions are completed within deadlines.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, Tenancy Officer, or similar.
• Strong tenancy and housing management experience within social housing.
• Experience conducting estate inspections.
• Knowledge of fire safety requirements within social housing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues and external partners.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable:

• Experience working within a Housing Association or Local Authority environment.
• Experience handling ASB, tenancy breaches and safeguarding concerns.
