The Company

Our client is a well-established business within the KBB and home improvement sector, supplying products through merchant and trade channels across the UK. Due to continued growth within their Merchant & Retail division, they are looking to appoint a Customer Sales Specialist to join their team.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to take ownership of a portfolio of merchant accounts, managing customer enquiries, quotations, orders and deliveries from initial enquiry through to completion.

Working within a close-knit team, you will be responsible for ensuring orders are processed efficiently, quotations are produced accurately, stock is allocated correctly and customer expectations are consistently met.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and providing exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and issue quotations for select customers.
• Follow up quotations and support the conversion of opportunities into sales orders.
• Liaise with select customers regarding product specifications, pricing and availability.
• Monitor stock allocation and make adjustments where required to fulfil customer requirements.
• Coordinate deliveries and transport requirements to ensure customer deadlines are achieved.
• Respond to customer enquiries relating to products, pricing and deliveries.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries using available systems and data.
• Work to agreed service levels and departmental KPIs.
• Maintain accurate records, electronic filing systems and spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with suppliers, logistics teams and internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchant customers and key stakeholders.
• Provide support across the wider team when needed.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience within customer service, sales support, internal sales, account coordination or order management environments.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in a customer service, sales support or order processing role.
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A customer-first approach with a passion for delivering excellent service.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confidence working with Microsoft Office packages.
• Experience producing quotations or supporting a sales process.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience within KBB, construction products, merchant, manufacturing or distribution environments would be advantageous.
