B2B Energy Sales Consultant – Outbound Telesales

£30,000 – £55,000 + Uncapped Commission

Gateshead, Tyne and Wear | Full-time | Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

This role is for experienced B2B salespeople who want to own the full sales cycle, from first contact through to close. You will manage your own pipeline of UK businesses, conduct energy procurement consultations, negotiate contracts with major suppliers, and close deals that generate real commercial impact for your clients and uncapped earnings for you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the full B2B sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, quoting, negotiation and closing
• Building a personal portfolio of commercial energy clients across gas and power
• Conducting energy procurement consultations, analysing client consumption, contract terms and market conditions
• Negotiating directly with UK energy suppliers to secure the best terms for your clients
• Managing ongoing client relationships to generate renewals, referrals and long-term revenue
• Working with our trading and procurement desk on contract structuring and market analysis
• Hitting monthly and quarterly cash targets, with your commission tied directly to the deals you close

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience in the energy industry
• Demonstrable track record of managing your own pipeline end-to-end, not just lead generation or appointment setting
• You have conducted commercial conversations with senior decision-makers (MDs, FDs, procurement heads) and can evidence specific outcomes from those conversations
• You have negotiated contract terms, pricing and commercial conditions in a B2B environment and can point to deals you have personally closed
• You have built and maintained client relationships that resulted in repeat business, referrals or account growth
• You have managed a high-volume pipeline independently and can demonstrate consistent results without micromanagement
• If you do not have energy sector experience, you must have sold in another regulated, contract-based sector where you managed multi-month procurement cycles
• You will be asked to demonstrate your sales ability live during the interview process

PLEASE NOTE

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for people with a proven track record in B2B energy sales who can demonstrate high-level selling ability and are ready to take ownership of a full sales cycle from day one. A minimum of 2 years of B2B energy sales experience is required. If you are looking for a specialist outbound prospecting role rather than full-cycle sales, our Lead Generator position may be a better fit.

This Is Not for You If

• Your sales experience is only retail, hospitality or consumer-facing (D2C)
• You have only done lead generation or appointment setting. This role requires full-cycle closing ability
• You are looking for a remote or work-from-home position. This role is 100% office-based in Gateshead
• You cannot commute to Gateshead Quays, Tyne and Wear, five days per week
• You are not legally entitled to work in the UK without sponsorship
• You have fewer than 2 years of B2B sales experience
