Transport Planner – Swadlincote Location: Swadlincote Salary: £13.10 per hour Contract: Temporary on going with possibility to go perm Job Type: Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client in Swadlincote. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, confident communicating with drivers and customers, and able to keep things running smoothly in a busy transport environment. Key Responsibilities: Planning and scheduling daily deliveries and collections Coordinating drivers and transport schedules Communicating with drivers and customers via phone and email Monitoring deliveries and dealing with any changes or delays Updating spreadsheets and transport systems Completing general transport administration Supporting the smooth running of the transport operation The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in transport, logistics, transport planning or scheduling would be beneficial Strong organisational and communication skills Confident using computers, spreadsheets and transport/administration systems Able to work under pressure and prioritise a busy workload Good attention to detail Reliable, proactive and professional approach to work Confident communicating with drivers, customers and colleagues What’s on Offer: £13.10 per hour 6:00am – 2:00pm Full-time hours Temporary-to-permanent opportunity Long-term work with an established transport operation Training provided Company events and perks, including pizza days and ice cream vans
