Year 6 Class Cover Teacher – Portsmouth Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire Start Date: November 2026 Year Group: Year 6 Contract: Fixed-term until August 2027 Hours: Full-time or 3 days per week Salary: MPS/UPS £34,069 – £52,835 FTE Supply Desk are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Portsmouth from November 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident Primary Teacher who enjoys creating an engaging learning environment, building strong relationships with pupils and supporting children to achieve their full potential. The successful teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum, maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour, and working closely with the wider school team to ensure pupils receive the best possible support. The school offers a supportive and friendly environment, with experienced staff and a strong commitment to pupil development and staff wellbeing. The role is available on either a full-time basis or for 3 days per week and will run until August 2027, with the potential for the position to become permanent for September 2027 depending on staffing requirements.
