Adele Carr Recruitment are urgently looking to appoint an Interim Financial Controller on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified Financial Controller to join an established manufacturing business on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract, with the potential to become permanent.

This is a key senior management appointment requiring a hands-on, commercially minded finance professional, who can take full ownership of the finance function, lead an established team and deliver accurate financial reporting to Group.

We are particularly interested in speaking with immediately available Financial Controllers who have a proven background in manufacturing, engineering or a similar production-led environment.

The Role

• Lead, manage and develop the finance team, ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, Group reporting, budgets, rolling forecasts and financial planning.
• Work closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team, providing commercial insight and financial guidance.
• Monitor manufacturing performance, including production costs, job costing, margins, stock, working capital and operational KPIs.
• Support operational management with financial analysis, cost control and profitability improvements.
• Maintain strong financial controls, balance-sheet integrity and compliance with Group reporting requirements.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital and financial risk management.
• Support internal and external audits, systems improvements and reporting efficiencies.
• Contribute to business planning and strategic decision-making as part of the senior management team.

What We're Looking For

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant - essential.
• Proven Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience within manufacturing - essential.
• Demonstrable experience managing a finance function and leading a team.
• Strong management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Good understanding of manufacturing costings, margins, stock and operational performance.
• Confident working autonomously and communicating with senior management and Group Finance.
• Immediately available or able to start at very short notice.
