Manufacturing Financial Controller
Warwickshire | Up to £70,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
SF Partners are recruiting a Manufacturing Financial Controller for an established business embarking on an exciting period of growth and investment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys being close to operations, understands manufacturing finance and wants the opportunity to make a genuine impact.
The business is entering a significant new phase, creating an opportunity for someone to take ownership of the financial controls, reporting and processes supporting a growing manufacturing operation.
Working closely with senior operational management, you'll play a key role in establishing robust financial processes, providing commercial insight and ensuring the business has the financial information needed to make informed decisions.
The role will involve:
Taking ownership of financial reporting, management accounts, month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
Developing and maintaining effective financial controls, reporting processes and operational KPIs.
Managing product costing, standard costs, inventory valuations and manufacturing variances.
Partnering closely with Operations, Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to identify efficiencies and improve financial performance.
Managing budgets, forecasts, cash flow and working capital.
Providing financial oversight of capital investment and operational expenditure.
Supporting commercial decisions, pricing and profitability analysis.
Improving systems, processes and reporting as the operation develops.
Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting, statutory and group reporting requirements.
About you:
We're looking for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA-qualified accountant with a strong background in manufacturing finance.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or in a similar hands-on manufacturing finance role.
Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing variances and operational reporting.
Experience working closely with production and operational management.
A solid understanding of financial controls, management accounts and balance sheet accounting.
Experience improving finance systems, processes and reporting.
Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
A practical, proactive approach and a willingness to get involved in the detail.
Experience gained in an environment undergoing growth, operational change or significant investment would be particularly attractive.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys the variety of a broad manufacturing finance role and is comfortable taking ownership rather than operating within a narrowly defined remit.
The opportunity
You'll be joining an established business at an important stage in its development, with the chance to shape financial processes, work closely with operational leadership and make a tangible contribution to future performance.
Salary: Up to £70,000 plus car allowance, bonus and benefits.
