Permanent, full-time position based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Salary

From £50,000 basic salary, negotiable depending on experience + uncapped commission

This is a senior commercial opportunity for an experienced food industry sales professional to take ownership of sales growth, develop key customer relationships and lead the sales function within a fast-moving food wholesale business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the sales team
• Drive new business and overall revenue growth
• Manage and grow key customer accounts
• Build strong relationships across the foodservice and wholesale sectors
• Identify new markets and commercial opportunities
• Develop and deliver the company's sales strategy
• Set and manage sales targets, KPIs and performance
• Generate new business and convert opportunities into long-term customers
• Use market insight and sales data to support commercial decisions
• Work closely with senior management to support the company's continued growth

Skills & Experience

• Strong previous experience within food sales is essential
• Background within food wholesale, foodservice or a closely related sector
• Proven track record of delivering sales growth
• Experience leading and motivating a sales team
• Strong new-business development and account-management skills
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation ability
• Confident developing relationships with customers across the food sector
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to sales
• Target-driven and focused on sustainable, profitable growth
