Job Title: Senior Finance Assistant
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Moorgate, City of London
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Managing sales ledger activities including raising invoices, allocating payments and following up outstanding debt
• Processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements and preparing payment runs
• Reviewing and processing staff expenses in line with company policies
• Supporting payroll administration, including starter/leaver information and monthly payroll submissions
• Assisting with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting project revenue, WIP and deferred income reporting
• Preparing information for management accounts and audit requirements
• Assisting with VAT schedules and finance compliance processes

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
• Strong knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger, reconciliations and month-end processes
• Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with stakeholders across the business
• Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous
