Private Client Tax Semi Senior

£26,000 to £36,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

An ATT and/or CTA student is wanted by a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Bath, to join a well structured private client tax team and build their technical knowledge across personal tax.

You’d help prepare self assessment returns across a varied portfolio while developing your grounding in income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax with experienced support around you. Bath is a prosperous and well connected city with a loyal private client base, and the firm’s portfolio reflects the quality of that market. Study support is strong. What’s the day to day of the role:

• Helping prepare self assessment returns for a varied private client portfolio
• Building your knowledge across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Speaking with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Reconciling client records and working papers accurately
• Supporting senior colleagues on more complex assignments

Required skills and qualifications:

• ATT and/or CTA student
• At least two years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• Practical private client tax experience gained in a practice setting
• Working knowledge of UK personal tax and self assessment processes
• Careful with detail, organised, and a positive team player
