Location: Essex Project: 500-Unit Residential Development Start: Immediate Rate: Day Rate – Negotiable We are currently recruiting for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a major residential development in Essex. The project comprises a 500-unit new-build residential scheme with a reinforced concrete (RC) frame, and the successful candidate will primarily focus on subcontractor package management. Key Responsibilities: * Managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account. * Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor quotations and placing orders. * Managing valuations, variations and change control. * Monitoring costs, commitments and package budgets. * Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and the wider commercial team. * Ensuring accurate commercial reporting and cost control throughout the project. Requirements: * Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor. * Strong experience in subcontractor package management. * Residential new-build experience is essential. * Experience working on RC frame projects would be highly advantageous. * Available to start immediately or at short notice.
