Location: Remote (UK-Based) Salary: Competitive + Benefits Our client, a growing Building Services Consultancy, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a fully remote position; however, applicants must be located within a maximum 2-hour door-to-door commute of Central London to allow attendance at occasional client meetings, design workshops, and project reviews when required. The Role Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team, you will be responsible for delivering electrical building services designs across a range of commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and mixed-use projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing schemes from concept through detailed design stages. Requirements Demonstrable experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 2-4 (Mandatory) Experience within a Building Services Consultancy environment Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering Strong technical design experience including: Power distribution Lighting and emergency lighting Small power systems Fire alarm systems Data and communications infrastructure Earthing and lightning protection systems Proficiency with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, Amtech, or equivalent Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant British Standards Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsResponsibilities Produce electrical calculations, specifications, reports, and technical drawings Develop and coordinate designs through RIBA Stages 2, 3, and 4 Attend client, design team, and project coordination meetings Liaise with architects, mechanical engineers, and external stakeholders Support project delivery within programme and budget constraints Contribute to sustainable and value-engineered design solutionsDesirable Candidates must live within 2 hours of Central London (door-to-door commute) If you have strong Building Services consultancy experience and can demonstrate successful delivery of electrical designs through RIBA Stages 2-4, we'd like to hear from you.
