The Role

As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and accounts services to a broad range of clients across multiple sectors. You will work closely with managers and partners while building strong relationships with clients and supporting junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
• Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory services
• Assisting with management accounts and business reporting requirements
• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Ensuring assignments are delivered accurately and within deadlines

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong audit and accounts preparation experience
• Good knowledge of UK accounting standards
• Experience working with owner-managed businesses and SME clients
• Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, IRIS or CCH
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
