Description

• Lead the negotiation, implementation and management of contracts and framework agreements to deliver commercial value and operational efficiencies.
• Manage contract reviews and commercial negotiations throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring continued performance, compliance and value for money.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support business objectives and procurement outcomes.
• Ensure procurement activities align with responsible procurement principles, sustainability objectives and corporate governance requirements.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies, supporting tendering activities, evaluations, contract awards and contract management.
• Act as a key commercial adviser on supplier relationship management, procurement strategy and dispute resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement through the optimisation of procurement processes, systems and technology.
• Produce accurate management information and reporting to support commercial decision-making.
• Support the development and capability of colleagues across the wider procurement and commercial function.

Profile

• Significant experience operating within procurement, commercial or sustainability functions.
• Proven track record of managing high-value, high-risk and complex contracts across works, services and supply categories.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience establishing complex contractual arrangements.
• Experience reviewing and managing contract terms, conditions and commercial schedules.
• Strong understanding of UK procurement legislation and its practical application.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, supported by experience using procurement and business systems.

Job Offer

Interim Commercial Manager position, this role is paying up to £500 p/day (Inside IR35) and it is based in London 2 days per week.

This role is initially 3 months, with chance of extension.
