Nursery Assistants & Practitioners – Flexible Childcare Roles

What will you be doing?

Every day is different! You’ll be supporting nursery teams to create a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children aged 0–4 years.

Your role may include:

• Creating a safe, fun and stimulating environment
• Supporting with feeding, changing and settling children for sleep
• Playing, singing, reading and having fun with the children
• Supporting outdoor play and activities
• Helping with activities and encouraging children's learning and development
• Working alongside permanent nursery staff
• Following health & safety and safeguarding procedures
• Most importantly – helping children have a happy and enjoyable day!

Flexible working to suit you!

We understand that everyone's circumstances are different.

Full-time, part-time and flexible working days are available.

Our usual nursery hours are 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday, but we can also offer shorter shifts in between, depending on the nursery's requirements.

What we're looking for

You don't necessarily need a formal childcare qualification – we welcome both qualified and experienced unqualified candidates.

You'll need:

• An Enhanced DBS or be willing to have a new one completed (£55)
• A genuine passion for working with children
• Experience working with children aged 0–4 years
• To be reliable, trustworthy and dependable
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude
• The ability to work well as part of a team
