Hays Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Swindon. This is a great opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering a career in teaching, or individuals with relevant experience working with young people.

The role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes during teacher absence
• Deliver pre-prepared work and ensure pupils remain on task
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively
• Provide support and guidance to pupils where required
• Work across a variety of subjects and year groups
• Follow school policies and maintain high safeguarding standards

What you'll need

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Confidence supervising a full classroom
• A professional, positive and adaptable approach
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• A genuine interest in supporting young people's education
