Step into real management responsibility. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Winchester is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Assistant Manager to lead and review audits across a technically interesting client portfolio.

Winchester sits in one of the most commercially active parts of the South of England, with good links to Southampton and London, and the firm’s clients reflect the quality and diversity of that market. The firm has a strong Hampshire reputation for its audit work, and the team is collaborative with a clear route through to Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment understands the regional audit landscape.

What’s the day to day of the role:

• Running and reviewing audit assignments to a high technical standard
• Taking the lead on client relationships across your portfolio
• Coaching junior and semi senior members of the audit team
• Backing up partners and managers on the more complex and technical assignments
• Keeping assignments on time, on budget and to standard
• Spotting opportunities to grow the firm’s audit portfolio

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with audit experience built up in practice
• At least four years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• A track record of leading audits and handling client relationships well
• Sound technical grounding in UK auditing standards and financial reporting
• Professional with clients, well organised, and able to juggle competing priorities
