Working for an established and growing business based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. With a turnover of approximately £3 million and exciting plans. The company is looking for an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.
Working closely with the business owner, this role offers plenty of autonomy and variety. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of finance, supporting business decisions, and becoming a trusted member of the team.

Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT or QBE)

Key Responsibilities

• Month-end reporting
• Cash flow management and reporting
• P&L reporting
• Producing Balance sheets
• Producing the trial balance
• Explaining financial information to the Managing Director
• Accruals and prepayments
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Posting journals
• Purchase ledger
• Sales ledger
• Bank reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Running BACS payments
• Credit control

About You

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA or AAT qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
• Previous experience managing a broad finance role
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the finance function
• Confident communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Positive, proactive and practical approach
