Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Small-Group Interventions: Guide focused literacy and numeracy groups to help pupils build core academic confidence.
• Provide Targeted 1:1 Support: Offer tailored learning assistance to pupils who need an extra helping hand during lessons.
• Foster an Inclusive Classroom: Create a warm, positive, and welcoming learning space where every child feels encouraged.
• Assist Classroom Management: Help class teachers prepare learning spaces, organize resources, and maintain a smooth lesson flow.

Requirements

Must-Haves (Essential)

• Proven experience supporting primary school-aged children in an educational, childcare, or youth setting.
• Good foundational understanding of the primary curriculum (KS1 & KS2).
• Patient, approachable, and proactive communication style.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young pupils and teaching teams.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete one).

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent degree).
• Prior experience running early phonics, reading, or math interventions.
• Understanding of standard classroom behavior management strategies.
