Role: General Foreman Location: Multiple positions across Greater Manchester and South Lancashire Salary: Up To £55,000 + Package (details below) - Includes a car/van or car allowance Sector: Water/Wastewater Overview: A leading infrastructure and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join their construction team on key projects based on a major Water & Wastewater schemes in the Greater Manchester & Lancashire regions for United Utilities. Due to the complexities involved, you MUST have experience as a General Foreman/Site Supervisor in the Water/Wastewater industry. We can consider candidates from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor background, provided you have worked on projects associated with UK Water Authorities. Responsibilities: ·General management of all construction and civil engineering activities. ·Daily allocation of plant, labour, and materials. ·Coordination of site activities, including subcontractors. ·Management of the workforce on-site to ensure safe working methods and minimal environmental impact. ·Ensuring deliveries are stored in a safe area to prevent injury to the public and staff and to avoid plant damage. ·Ensuring the correct PPE is available and used. ·Assisting in method statement production.    The package you receive ·Company car/van or car allowance (up to £4,800 per annum) ·Matched pension contributions up to 10% ·25 days annual leave + bank holidays ·Private healthcare / medical insurance ·A range of other lifestyle benefits e.g. cycle to work scheme Required Experience or Qualifications: ·SSSTS/SMSTS ·CSCS Previous Water/Wastewater experience
