Overview

Here at Business Electrical we carry out both commercial and domestic electrical work. We are looking for an experienced lead spark who can take the lead on our commercial projects (50K-200K) on site.

We want to be open about what the role involves from the outset, so you can decide whether it’s the kind of opportunity you’re looking for. It matters just as much that you are the right person for us as it does that we are the right company for you.

We know that the people you work with and the way you’re treated make a big difference to your working day. We have a good team and a friendly atmosphere, and we see that as one of the biggest benefits of working with us. We take our work seriously, but we want people to enjoy being at work as much as possible!

What we can give you:

  • A friendly atmosphere
  • Clear expectations and open communication between office and site.
  • Local work (predominately within Bristol)
  • A company van that can be used for personal use
  • Flexibility around other life commitments, children, family, appointments

What we are looking for:

  • Responsibility - you are someone who likes to make it their problem even when it's not, you want to be the person who can fix the issue and that's just who you are. Even if it's not your job you think it is.
  • Honesty - everyone makes mistakes but not everyone can admit to them. We are trying to grow a culture where talking about mistakes is normal so we can all improve. We are looking for someone who helps with this goal.
  • Communication - If you always say what you are doing, you are always planning your work with other trades on site and other staff members. This is the role for you. You don't take it for granted that someone will know and you always check.
  • Organisation - If you understand that organisation, and some forward planning, is the most important thing when it comes to managing a job effectively, you will fit in perfectly.
  • Paperwork - We don't need to explain to you how important paperwork is, you just get it and can deliver it accurately and on time.

Mandatory Qualifications & Training

  • NVQ Level 3
  • AM2
  • 2391
  • JIB Gold Card (O.O.D is acceptable)
  • Minimum 6 years experience in electrical installation
  • Previous experience running jobs

Mandatory Additional Requirements

  • 2 x professional references
  • Full UK drivers license or equivalent
  • A UK passport or other proof that are able to work in this country
