Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Behaviour Support Location: Southwark, South East London Hours: 9:00am - 3:30pm Contract: Full-Time Daily Rate: £100-£117 Start Date: ASAP The Role Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with behavioural needs in a primary school in South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive and confident supporting children who may require additional help with behaviour management, emotional regulation and engagement in the classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide consistent, tailored support, helping the pupil access learning and develop positive relationships and independence. Key Responsibilities Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with behavioural needs. Support positive behaviour management and emotional regulation. Encourage engagement with classroom activities and learning. Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour calmly and consistently. Build a trusting relationship with the pupil and promote positive interactions. Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team. Help maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs. A calm, patient and resilient approach. Confidence managing challenging behaviour. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. What Remedy Education Offers Competitive daily rates of £100-£117. Weekly pay. Consistent full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
