Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

• £28,000 - £32,000 Pro Rata (Dependent on Experience)

A well-established logistics business based in Team Valley is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its friendly finance team on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in transactional finance who enjoys working in a varied role across both purchase and sales ledger activities. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, highly organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Resolving supplier invoice queries with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Performing supplier statement reconciliations
• Assisting with supplier payment runs
• Processing and reconciling company credit card transactions
• Raising sales invoices (approximately 80-100 invoices per week)
• Supporting credit control activities, including chasing overdue customer accounts
• Assisting the Accounts Manager with month-end processes
• Providing general finance and administration support as required
• Undertaking ad hoc duties to support the wider business

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or similar finance role
• Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts (essential)
• Experience with Boxtop software (advantageous but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• A proactive and positive approach to work
• Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
