We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our independent automotive service centre in Newport, specialising in premium vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established local business with over 13 years of experience servicing the Newport region. Benefits: Competitive salary of £35,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break 20 days’ annual leave, plus eight bank holidays. Friendly team environment within a premium vehicle specialist.Duties of a Vehicle Technician: As a Vehicle Technician, carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs to customers’ vehicles. Ensure all faults are accurately diagnosed and report vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance to the Business Directors. The successful Vehicle Technician will complete all work to a consistently high standard while meeting relevant quality procedures. Follow all Health and Safety requirements and contribute effectively within a busy workshop team.Requirements: An IMI or NVQ Level 2 qualification, or equivalent, in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is essential. The ideal Vehicle Technician will have their own tools and a UK driving licence with minimal points. Vehicle Technicians must be committed, reliable and capable of producing high-quality work in a busy workshop environment. A valid Class 4 or Class 7 MOT testing licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
