Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience

Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a well-established machinery manufacturer, seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team based in Congleton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to become involved in the design and development of bespoke equipment.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview

• Designing bespoke equipment with the use of Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks
• Producing 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings
• Developing new concepts and practical engineering solutions for bespoke customer applications.
• Carrying out hands-on testing of equipment, and creating technical manuals
• Supporting projects throughout the design lifecycle, from initial concept and development through to manufacture and assembly.
• Producing and maintaining Bills of Materials.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements

• Around 2+ years' experience within mechanical design would be highly advantageous, although graduate and less experienced candidates will also be considered.
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
• Degree, HNC, HND or similar qualification within Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• Based within a commutable distance of Congleton.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

• Full-time, permanent position.
• Monday to Friday working week.
• Pension scheme.
• Holiday allowance.
