Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Export Coordinator to join our client's small, family-run freight forwarding business based in Feltham.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and close-knit forwarding operation where you will be responsible for managing air export shipments from start to finish, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and shipments are handled efficiently and within customer deadlines.

The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced freight forwarding professional who is organised, reliable and takes pride in providing a high level of customer service. As this is a small family-run business, being a team player with a positive and hands-on approach is particularly important.

Key Responsibilities of an Air Export Coordinator

• Manage air export shipments from initial booking through to final delivery.
• Arrange and coordinate export bookings with airlines, handling agents, overseas agents and customers.
• Prepare, check and process all relevant air export documentation accurately.
• Liaise with airlines, customers, overseas agents, hauliers and other service providers.
• Arrange collections and deliveries in line with customer and operational requirements.
• Monitor shipments closely and provide customers with regular updates on progress.
• Ensure all shipments depart within required deadlines and service levels.
• Check shipping instructions and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
• Handle export customs documentation and ensure shipments comply with relevant requirements.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and other relevant parties where required.
• Track shipments and proactively identify and resolve any potential delays or issues.
• Ensure all customer requests are actioned accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Deal with operational queries and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, documentation and system information.
• Ensure all charges, quotations and shipment details are recorded accurately.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and overseas agents.
• Follow company procedures and customer-specific requirements at all times.
• Ensure all shipments are handled in accordance with relevant compliance and operational procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
• Provide support to the wider forwarding team when required.

Skills & Experience Required for an Air Export Coordinator

• Good understanding of the air export process from booking through to final delivery.
• Experience dealing with airlines, overseas agents, customers and hauliers.
• Good knowledge of air export documentation and procedures.
• Customs knowledge and experience
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, deadline-driven freight forwarding environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Salary & Benefits for an Air Export Coordinator

• Salary: £33,000 - £38,000, depending on experience.
• Hours: Monday - Friday Standard office hours.
