REED Education are delighted to be supporting a welcoming and well-established secondary school near Royston in their search for an experienced Administrator / Attendance Officer / Pastoral Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis after October half term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with previous school-based administration experience who enjoys supporting students, staff, and families in a busy school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing daily student attendance and punctuality records
• Monitoring and following up attendance concerns with parents and carers
• Producing attendance reports and maintaining accurate records
• Providing administrative support to the pastoral and safeguarding teams
• Handling student and parent enquiries professionally and sensitively
• Updating and maintaining school databases and student information systems
• Supporting the wider administrative functions of the school where required

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working within a school environment
• Strong experience using Bromcom is essential
• Knowledge of attendance procedures and school administration processes
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confident working with confidential and sensitive information
• A proactive and professional approach to supporting students and staff
